MJGLS Generative AI Policy

• The use of AI must be openly disclosed and clearly described in all scholarly outputs, including research papers, in the same way authors acknowledge other software, tools, or methodologies.
• AI systems do not satisfy authorship criteria because they cannot take responsibility for published work. Accordingly, AI or large language model (LLM) tools must not be listed as authors in MJGLS.
• Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of their work, including any portions informed or assisted by AI.
• Any use of AI must comply with standard plagiarism policies. All scholarly work must represent the author’s own thinking, and any ideas, data, wording, or other material from external sources must be diligently cited and transparently referenced.
