A delegation led by Ye Jian, deputy director of the Political Department of the Supreme People’s Court, visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by Yonghua Song, rector of UM. The two parties held in-depth discussions on cultivating legal professionals and enhancing cooperation in judicial practice.
Song gave the delegation an overview of UM’s history and development, and noted that with the guidance and support of the Supreme People’s Court, the UM Faculty of Law (FLL) has arranged for nearly 50 students to take part in internships at courts in the Chinese mainland, significantly enhancing their professional competencies and practical skills.
During the visit, the delegation also met with members of FLL, including Dean Tong Io Cheng, to exchange views on various topics. Both sides expressed hope to further deepen communication and cooperation, and to jointly cultivate outstanding legal professionals for Macao, the Greater Bay Area, and the country.
