On May 10th, Mr. Ji Xiangde, the Director of the SSAP (SSAP), led a delegation from the publisher to visit the Faculty of Law (FLL) at the University of Macau. They met with the Dean of the FLL, Professor Tong Io Cheng, the Associate Dean, Professor Zhai Xiaobo, and the Deputy Director of the Centre for Law Studies, Ms. Jiang Yiwa.

Professor Tong warmly welcomed Director Ji and his delegation, providing a detailed overview of the recent developments at the FLL. He expressed deep gratitude for the continuous support from the SSAP in the publication of the “Portuguese Legal Classic Translation Series.” These series have been published for over twenty volumes and are uniquely recognized in the academic community. Professor Tong highlighted the close and productive cooperation between the FLL and the SSAP over the years, which has greatly contributed to the showcasing and promotion of academic achievements in the Macao legal community, and expressed high expectations for further expanding and deepening their cooperative relationship.
Director Ji emphasized that the rule of law is an important national task, and as legal professionals, it is an unshakable responsibility to actively contribute. To better promote the national strategy of the rule of law, the SSAP has established a dedicated legal division. This division aims to become the best law editing and publishing team within the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a top-notch legal publishing platform in China, providing high-quality services for the academic achievements of the FLL at the University of Macau and the entire legal community. The SSAP and the FLL at the University of Macau have established a long-term and robust cooperative relationship, and moving forward, they plan to leverage their respective strengths to publish more academic masterpieces. Following the meeting, both parties had an in-depth discussion on specific aspects of expanding their cooperation.

After the meeting, Director Ji and his delegation, guided by faculty members, visited the library, research centers, and moot court of the FLL.
