Recently, FLL Ph.D. candidate Wang Meng and her supervisor, Professor Li Du, published a perspective in the Science & Society section of Trends in Biotechnology, a Cell sub-journal with an impact factor of 21.942. Based on an empirical study, the article explores key patterns of Chinese media’s coverage of synthetic biology and discusses how they impact the perceptions of the public, scientific community, and decision-makers on synthetic biotechnology research and development.
