“ Bachelor of Law in Chinese Law and Global Legal Studies” is newly offered in 2023/2024 academic year.
Introduction
The Bachelor of Law in Chinese Law and Global Legal studies is mainly taught in English and focuses on Chinese law. The programme aims to provide prospective students a unique opportunity to study both the main legal topics found in traditional legal education in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the major courses covering the globalizing international legal order that governs the world’s international relations. In addition, the programme provides students with a richer cross-cultural learning experience, a broader international perspective, and a more comprehensive system of global law, so as to cultivate bilingual legal talents with global competitiveness and responsibility.
Since the programme does not cover the content of local law in Macao, item 1 of Article 4 of the Lawyers’ Entry Regulations is not applicable to the Bachelor of Law in Chinese Law and Global Legal Studies Programme, and graduates are unable to engage in legal affairs in the public administration sector of Macao.
