Call for paper: Seminar on “Progress of the Rule of Law and the 25th Anniversary of Macau’s handover: Challenges, Achievements, and Future Directions”

 

In 2024, it will be the 25th anniversary of Macau’s handover. Seizing the opportunity of this momentous occasion, the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau and the Centre for Macau Studies plan to jointly organize a seminar titled “Progress of the Rule of Law and the 25th Anniversary of Macau’s handover: Challenges, Achievements, and Future Directions法治進程與澳門回歸二十五年:挑戰、成就與未來方向研討會” on 18 May 2024 (Saturday). The Seminar aims to summarize the achievements of the Macau SAR in the development of the rule of law, identify the challenges that still lie ahead, and discuss the future direction of the region’s rule of law construction.

 

This seminar cordially invites researchers who are interested in related topics to apply for participation in the seminar and submit a proposal. The proposal should include the title, author information, and abstract. Selected applicants will be required to submit the full text of their papers and engage in exchanges and discussions during the seminar. After undergoing an anonymous review and approval process, the submitted papers will be published in the academic journal “Journal of Macau Studies.”
